Office of International Investment & Trade

The Office of International Investment and Trade helps Maryland companies grow in global markets and helps international companies establish and expand their presence in Maryland.

What We Do

The office supports international business growth in two key areas:

  • Export assistance: Helps Maryland companies enter new markets, increase international sales and connect with business opportunities around the world.
  • Foreign direct investment: Helps international companies explore Maryland as a location for U.S. operations and connects them with resources to establish and grow here.

The office also leads international trade missions and delegations and connects businesses with programs including ExportMD and Global Gateway.

  • ExportMD: Funding to help eligible Maryland businesses offset the costs of international marketing and export activities.
  • Global Gateway: Support for Maryland companies entering international markets and international companies establishing a presence in Maryland through a network of partner organizations.
