The Office of Military and Federal Affairs supports Maryland’s military installations, federal agencies, defense businesses and the communities connected to them. The office works with government, industry and local partners to strengthen Maryland’s military and federal economy.
What We Do
Support Military Installations and Communities
Works with Maryland’s military installations and surrounding communities to support their continued growth and address issues including infrastructure, land use and community planning.
The office leads the Maryland Military Installation Council and works with local military alliances across the state. It also manages the Maryland Military and Community Compatible Use Project, which provides tools and resources to help military installations and neighboring communities plan and coordinate for compatible development.
