Maryland MADE

About this page.  Manufacturing Assets Deployed for Energy. $15,000 grants to help small manufacturers use energy more efficiently.

Program Status

The application period is currently closed. The program will sunset on September 30, 2026.

What This Program Does

Maryland MADE gives grants to small Maryland manufacturers to adopt smart and high-performance manufacturing technologies that increase energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. The program is funded with support from the U.S. Department of Energy.

Why energy efficiency matters:  Manufacturing accounts for about 26% of U.S. end-use energy, and energy is roughly 5–10% of a manufacturer’s costs. Improving efficiency can lower both your energy bills and your emissions.
