Maryland Economic Council (MEC)

The Maryland Economic Council (MEC) brings together business and government leaders to analyze economic issues and advise the Governor on policies that support job growth, workforce development and a competitive business environment.

Established by executive order in 2023 - PDF and updated in 2024, the Council provides economic policy recommendations informed by data, industry expertise and experience across the public and private sectors.
